SERVICES OFFERED
We provide the following individual adult and child/adolescent, couples, family, and group therapy services:
- Evidence-based treatment for depression, anxiety, developmental disabilities, behavioral concerns, and emotional distress
- School consultation
- Academic and career counseling
- Group therapy and social skills groups
We adhere to evidenced-based treatments and utilize a variety of techniques including, but limited to, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Behavioral Interventions.
We offer adult and child/adolescent psychological, diagnostic evaluations in the following areas:
- General comprehensive evaluations for depression, anxiety, ADHD, and other emotional, behavioral, or personality conditions
- Academic difficulties, learning disorders, and gifted testing
- Developmental delays, including Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Vocational assessment and substance use evaluations
- Pre-employment psychological evaluations
ABOUT THE CBH
The USM Center for Behavioral Health is the premier behavioral health clinical training facility in the Gulf South region and offers state-of-the-art training experiences for graduate students in the accredited graduate programs in counseling, clinical, and school psychology. We have a commitment to providing the most current, evidence-based services supported by scientific research. All graduate student clinicians are supervised by licensed psychologists.
The USM Center for Behavioral Health (CBH) mission is to increase access to quality mental health care by providing affordable, evidence-based services to children, adolescents, adults, USM college students, in South Mississippi; training competent and ethical psychologists and mental health counselors in evidenced-based best practice; and contributing to the advancement of cutting-edge research.
